A 43mm (1.5") ultra-thin full-range speaker driver delivering crisp highs and surprisingly strong bass from a single cone. The slim profile fits tight enclosures where depth is a constraint, while the 8Ω / 5W rating and 100Hz–20kHz response make it suitable for voice, audio alerts, music reproduction, and custom speaker builds. Pair two in parallel for enhanced bass in small enclosures.

Common Questions

What amplifier do I need to drive this speaker?
Any amplifier rated for an 8Ω load will work. For Arduino and Raspberry Pi projects, the Keyestudio SC8002B module (also available in our store) is a great match — it outputs up to 3W into an 8Ω speaker from a 5V supply. For 5W output, use a higher-power amplifier module rated for at least 5W into 8Ω.
Can I run two of these in parallel for more bass?
Yes — wiring two 8Ω speakers in parallel gives a combined 4Ω load. This increases bass output and efficiency, but your amplifier must support a 4Ω load. Check your amplifier's minimum impedance spec before connecting two speakers in parallel.

Please note: This is a raw speaker driver — no enclosure included. Performance improves significantly when mounted in an appropriately sized enclosure compared to free-air use.

Why buy from NZN

International prices. None of the international wait.

We're a small Kiwi-owned shop, and we stock the same boards and parts you'd usually order from overseas, for about the same price. The only real difference is they ship from Te Awamutu, so you get them in a few days instead of waiting weeks.

Run by Kiwis, here in Te Awamutu

We're NZ owned and operated, and every order is picked, packed and sent from our place in Te Awamutu, Waikato.

Get it in days, not weeks

Order before 12pm and it ships the same day. No waiting three to six weeks for a parcel to crawl over from overseas.

Low prices are the goal

As a maker myself, I want New Zealand to have a genuine low-price local option for electronics, not overpriced shelves or a long wait on an international parcel.

Checked, and easy to sort if it's not right

We test things before they go out, and if something's off you've got 30 day returns, a 12 month warranty and a real person in NZ to email.

Packed and sent by a fellow maker, right here in Te Awamutu.
