The three types in short

  • Switch (A3144, OH137). On while a magnet is near, off when it leaves. The right answer most of the time.
  • Latch (41F, US1881). South pole turns it on, north pole turns it off, and it holds state in between. For alternating pole rings and brushless motors.
  • Linear (49E, AH3503). Analog output that tracks field strength and polarity, for when you need to measure rather than just detect.

What are Hall Effect sensors used for?

Hall Effect sensors detect the presence and strength of a magnetic field. Common uses include counting rotations (motor speed sensing), detecting open/closed states (door sensors), position sensing, and current measurement.

Are these digital or analog output?

We stock both types. Digital Hall sensors give a simple HIGH/LOW output (active when a magnet is near), while analog sensors output a voltage that varies with field strength. The product listing specifies which type each sensor is.

How fast is shipping within New Zealand?

Orders are dispatched within 24 hours, every day except public holidays. NZ Post delivery is usually 1-2 business days to urban addresses and 2-4 business days to rural addresses. Free shipping applies over $66 for urban addresses and $88 for rural addresses.

Do your products come with a warranty?

Yes — all non-consumable items are covered by a 1-year warranty. If anything arrives faulty or stops working within the warranty period, contact us and we'll arrange a replacement or refund.

What is your returns policy?

We offer a 30-day returns policy. Change-of-mind returns are accepted on items that are unused, unmodified, and in their original packaging. Customer pays return postage; original shipping cost is non-refundable. Faulty or damaged items are covered at no cost to you.
