Rivnuts (rivet nuts, nutserts) put a proper machine thread into thin sheet, tube or panel where there is no material to tap. M3 aluminium, flat head, with a knurled body so it will not spin in the hole.
PCB standoffs space and stack circuit boards. M2 brass, male to female, so they screw together into a chain as tall as you need.
