Return & Refund Policy
At NZN Electronics, we want you to feel confident in every purchase. If something isn't right — or you've simply ordered the wrong part — we're here to help.
1. 30-Day Returns
You have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return. We accept returns both for items that arrive defective, damaged, or incorrectly sent, and for change-of-mind returns (including ordering the wrong item or specification) — subject to the conditions in Section 2. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 10 business days.
2. Return Eligibility
Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items: Fully covered. We'll arrange a replacement or refund and cover return shipping (see Section 4).
Change-of-mind & wrong-item returns: Accepted within 30 days, provided the item meets all the conditions below. For these returns you cover the return postage and the original shipping charge is non-refundable.
To qualify for any return, the item must be:
- Unused & unmodified: not soldered, cut, or otherwise altered, and in the same condition as received.
- In original packaging: returned in its original anti-static or protective packaging.
- Accompanied by proof of purchase: a valid receipt or order confirmation.
3. How to Request a Return
To start a return, contact us at with your order number. Return address: 216 Tawhiao Street, Te Awamutu 3800, New Zealand. Once approved, we'll provide return instructions. Returns sent without prior approval cannot be accepted.
4. Return Shipping Costs
- Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items: Return shipping is free — we'll cover it.
- Change-of-mind & wrong-item returns: You're responsible for the return postage, and the original shipping charge is non-refundable.
5. Damaged, Faulty, or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order on arrival. If your item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact us as soon as possible so we can resolve it quickly.
6. Non-Returnable Items
The following cannot be returned (except where faulty — see Section 9):
- Soldered, modified, or used items
- Opened or used consumables (e.g. solder, thermal paste, adhesives)
- Custom or special-order items
- Hazardous materials (e.g. flammable liquids or gases)
- Sale items and gift cards
7. Exchanges
We don't offer direct exchanges. The fastest way to get a different item is to return your original purchase and place a new order once approved.
8. Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll notify you of the outcome. If approved: refunds go to your original payment method within 10 business days. Allow extra time for your bank. No refund after 15 business days? Email .
9. Consumer Rights (New Zealand)
This policy is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ), which may entitle you to a repair, replacement, or refund for faulty goods regardless of whether an item is on sale or discounted.
