Warranty

Every order from NZN Electronics is covered so you can buy with confidence. This warranty sits alongside your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 — it never replaces or limits them.

12-month warranty on non-consumable products

Non-consumable products carry a 12-month warranty from the date of delivery against manufacturing defects and failure under normal, intended use. This covers items such as:

  • Arduino, ESP32 and other development boards
  • Sensor, driver and breakout modules
  • Servo, stepper and DC motors
  • Switches, potentiometers and controls
  • Power supplies and power modules
  • Tools and reusable accessories

If a covered product is dead on arrival (DOA) or fails through a manufacturing fault within 12 months, we’ll repair it, replace it, or refund it.

Consumables and bulk components

Consumable and bulk-pack components are covered against dead-on-arrival faults for 30 days but are not covered by the 12-month warranty, as their working life depends on how they’re used. These include:

  • Hook-up wire, jumper wires and Dupont leads
  • Wire connectors, terminals and solder-seal sleeves
  • LEDs, resistors, capacitors and other loose components
  • Header pins, breadboards and prototyping consumables

What isn’t covered

  • Damage from incorrect wiring, reverse polarity, over-voltage or static discharge
  • Physical damage, water or liquid damage, or general misuse
  • Normal wear, or faults caused by modification or soldering where the fault relates to that work
  • Products bought from third-party sellers rather than from NZN Electronics directly

How to make a warranty claim

Email support@nznelectronics.co.nz with:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the fault
  • A photo or short video showing the issue, where possible

We’ll respond within one business day and arrange a repair, replacement or refund. We cover return postage for confirmed faulty items.
