Frequently asked questions

What does the resistance value mean?

The resistance value (e.g. B10K) is the total resistance between the two end terminals — in this case 10,000 ohms (10k). The wiper terminal provides a variable output between 0 and 10k as you rotate or slide the shaft.

What's the difference between linear (B) and logarithmic (A) taper?

Linear taper potentiometers change resistance evenly as you turn them — ideal for most electronics and Arduino projects. Logarithmic (audio) taper changes faster at the start and slower at the end, mimicking how our ears perceive volume. For most DIY builds, linear taper is what you want.

How fast is shipping within New Zealand?

Orders placed before 12pm on business days are dispatched same-day from Te Awamutu, Waikato via NZ Post. Urban delivery typically takes 1–2 days; rural 2–4 days. Free shipping on urban orders over $66 (rural over $88).

Do your products come with a warranty?

Yes — all non-consumable items are covered by a 1-year warranty. If anything arrives faulty or stops working within the warranty period, contact us and we'll arrange a replacement or refund.

What is your returns policy?

We offer a 30-day returns policy. Change-of-mind returns are accepted on items that are unused, unmodified, and in their original packaging. Customer pays return postage; original shipping cost is non-refundable. Faulty or damaged items are covered at no cost to you.
