The WH148 is a reliable, general-purpose 10kΩ (B10K) linear taper rotary potentiometer with a 15mm knurled 6mm shaft and a standard 3-pin layout. It is a drop-in fit for breadboards, panels and PCBs, and a go-to part for volume and tone controls, signal adjustment and Arduino or ESP32 analog input. A panel nut and washer are included for a clean, secure mount.

Wiring & getting started
- Connect the outer pins
Wire pin 1 to your supply (VCC, 3.3-5V) and pin 3 to ground (GND). Swap these two if the direction of travel feels reversed.
- Take the wiper output
Pin 2, the centre wiper, is your output. Send it to a microcontroller analog input (ADC) or the point you want to control.
- Read the value
On Arduino, analogRead() on the wiper pin gives 0 to 1023 across the full sweep. On ESP32 use analogRead() on an ADC pin.
- Mount it cleanly
Push the shaft through a panel hole, fit the washer and tighten the nut. The knurled 6mm shaft accepts most push-fit and set-screw knobs.
Good to know: This is a linear (B) taper pot, so resistance changes at a steady rate across the sweep. For audio volume where you want finer control at low levels, an A (log) taper is the better choice. Packed and dispatched from our Te Awamutu stock.
