What's in the box

1 x
100 mm Futaba-style servo pigtail lead

One male plug with a 100 mm flat white, red and black lead and bare tips.

Great for

Replacing a broken servo plug

Cut off a cracked or damaged plug and solder this lead on in its place.

ESCs, sensors and lights

Give a bare-wired device a plug that fits a receiver channel.

Arduino and ESP32 servo headers

Connect your own wiring to the 3-pin servo rows on boards like the Nano IO expansion shield.

Wiring & getting started

  1. Power off first

Disconnect the battery or supply before cutting or soldering any lead.

  2. Match the colours

Join white to the signal wire, red to positive and black to negative (ground) on your device. Check your device's own wire colours, as some use orange, red and brown instead.

  3. Solder and insulate

Solder each joint and cover it with heat-shrink so no bare copper is left showing.

  4. Plug in the right way round

On a receiver or servo header, black goes to the negative or ground pin, usually the outer edge. Check the markings before powering up.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions buyers ask most.

Which end is the male plug?
The black Futaba-style housing is the male servo plug, the same end a servo has. It pushes onto a receiver's 3-pin header or into a Futaba-style extension socket. The other end has bare wire tips for soldering.
Will it fit JR or Spektrum receivers?
The contacts use the common 2.54 mm servo spacing and the same signal, positive and ground order, so it plugs onto most receiver headers. The housing has a Futaba-style side key, so check it fits beside neighbouring plugs or in a JR-style socket before relying on it.
Which wire is which?
White is signal, red is positive and black is negative (ground). Some servos and ESCs use orange, red and brown instead; orange matches white and brown matches black.
Can I use it to run two servos from one channel?
No, this is a single lead. Use the 150mm Futaba-style servo Y cable to connect two servos to one channel.

Why Buy from NZN

Useful parts, fair prices and someone local to help.

I'm Lukas, an engineering student and maker based in Te Awamutu. NZN grew out of a CNC build that dragged on for months because every missing cable, bolt or electronic part meant another overseas order. I started the shop so Kiwi makers can spend more time building and less time waiting for the next parcel.
