Red end-of-line model. We now stock the blue MTS-103 as our current colour. This red switch is brand new and carries our standard 12-month warranty.
The MTS-103 is a compact SPDT mini toggle switch with ON-OFF-ON action, which means the lever selects between two circuits with a genuine off position in the middle rather than always feeding one side or the other. It panel mounts through a standard 6mm hole and terminates on three solder lugs, so it drops straight into a project box, a dash panel or an instrument front. This red batch ships with two mounting nuts.

Great for
Wiring & getting started
- Identify the pins
The centre lug is common. The two outer lugs are the switched circuits. Lugs sit 4.8mm apart, so a 0.1 inch protoboard pitch will not line up exactly.
- Lever up
Common connects to the outer pin on one side, feeding circuit A.
- Lever centred
Common is disconnected from both outer pins. This is a genuine off, nothing is powered.
- Lever down
Common connects to the other outer pin, feeding circuit B.
- Mount it
Drill a 6.0mm hole in a panel 0.5 to 4.0mm thick, pass the M6 x 0.75 thread through and lock it with the supplied nuts. Set the depth with the rear nut before tightening the front one.
- Reversing a small DC motor
Motor positive to one outer pin, motor negative to the other, supply positive to common, and cross-link the outer pins to the opposite supply rail. Centre gives you a safe stop. Keep the load inside the rating or drive a relay instead.
Note: The 250VAC figure is the switch's own rating, not permission to wire mains. Any mains AC work in New Zealand must be carried out or certified by a registered electrician under the NZ wiring rules.
