Brass — Best thermal conductivity, fast heating. The go-to choice for PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, and PA.

Stainless Steel — Food-safe and corrosion-resistant. Slightly lower thermal conductivity — may require slightly higher temperatures. Good for food-contact prints.

Hardened Steel — Essential for abrasive filaments (carbon fibre, glow-in-the-dark, metal-fill). Brass nozzles wear rapidly with these materials. Rated to 500°C+.

Common Questions

What makes Volcano nozzles different from standard V6 nozzles?
Volcano nozzles are longer and have a larger melt zone than standard V6 nozzles, allowing significantly higher volumetric flow rates. This makes them ideal for large-format, fast, or high-layer-height printing where a standard nozzle would struggle to melt filament fast enough. They require a Volcano-length heater block — they are not interchangeable with standard V6 blocks.
Will these fit my stock Ender 3 or CR-10?
No — stock Creality printers use an MK8 nozzle. Volcano nozzles require a Volcano heater block upgrade. If you're running a stock Creality hotend, see our MK8 nozzle listings instead.
How do I change the nozzle safely?
Always swap nozzles at temperature (around 200–230°C). Hold the heater block still with pliers and unscrew the nozzle with a spanner. Tighten the new nozzle while hot and snug it against the heatbreak. Run a PID autotune after changing nozzles.
