Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions buyers ask most.

How is this blue switch different from the red MTS-103?
The blue stock is marked 6A 125VAC. The red stock is marked 2A 250VAC and 5A 120VAC, and is listed separately so each product page matches the markings on the actual part.
What does ON-OFF-ON mean?
The lever has three positions. Each outer position connects the centre common lug to one outer lug, while the centre position disconnects both circuits.
Which lug is common?
The centre solder lug is common. Use a multimeter continuity test if you need to confirm the switched outer lug for each lever position.
What size panel hole is required?
Use a 6mm hole and secure the threaded neck with the supplied nut.
Can it be used for mains switching?
The blue stock is marked 6A 125VAC, but any mains AC work in New Zealand must be carried out or certified by a registered electrician.

Why Buy from NZN

Useful parts, fair prices and someone local to help.

I'm Lukas, an engineering student and maker based in Te Awamutu. NZN grew out of a CNC build that dragged on for months because every missing cable, bolt or electronic part meant another overseas order. I started the shop so Kiwi makers can spend more time building and less time waiting for the next parcel.
