The Nano IO Expansion Shield V3.0 takes a classic 30-pin Arduino Nano and brings every pin out to labelled ground, power and signal (G/V/S) header rows, so servos, sensors and modules plug straight in with ordinary 3-pin leads. It also has 4-pin I2C and serial headers, a 3.3V header, a DC barrel jack, a reset button and four mounting holes. It fits our Nano V3 USB-C board and other Nano-footprint boards; the Nano is sold separately.

What's in the box
Fully assembled with headers fitted. Arduino Nano not included.
Great for
Wiring & getting started
- Seat the Nano the right way round
Match the pin names on the Nano (D12, D13, VIN, TX) to the names printed beside the two sockets, then press it in evenly. The Nano needs male header pins on its underside.
- Plug in by colour
On each 3-pin row, G is ground, V is power and S is the signal pin. A servo lead goes brown or black on G, red on V and orange or yellow on S.
- Upload as normal
Program the Nano through its own USB port, choosing Arduino Nano in the Arduino IDE. The shield adds no drivers or code.
- Add a supply for bigger loads
The V pins share the Nano's 5V. One small servo such as an SG90 runs fine from USB. For more than one or two small servos, feed their red leads from a separate 5V supply instead of the V pins, and join that supply's ground to a G pin.
