Clearance - final units. We are not restocking the pre-wired PBS-33B, so these last few are priced to clear. They are brand new, not seconds, and our 12 month warranty still applies. For ongoing supply, the PBS-33B with solder terminals stays in our range in six colours.

The PBS-33B 12mm momentary push button with two 20AWG leads already soldered on and sleeved in heat-shrink, so you can fit it and wire it straight into your project. It fits a 12mm panel hole, is rated 3A at 125V AC or 1A at 250V AC, and closes the circuit only while held down. Choose all-black leads or a red and black pair.

Wiring & getting started

  1. Fit the switch

Drill a 12mm hole. Remove the nut, feed the leads through the hole from the front, then refit the nut from behind and tighten.

  2. Connect a digital input

With the board powered off, connect one lead to a digital input and the other to GND. The switch has no polarity, so either lead works on either side. For an Arduino input, enable INPUT_PULLUP.

  3. Check the response

The input reads HIGH when released and LOW while pressed. Add software debouncing if one press registers more than once.

Note: Stay within 3A at 125V AC or 1A at 250V AC, and use a relay for anything heavier, such as a motor or pump. Any 230V mains wiring must be done by a licensed electrician.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions buyers ask most.

Why is this on clearance?
We are not restocking the pre-wired PBS-33B, so we are clearing the last few. They are brand new, not seconds. The PBS-33B with solder terminals stays in our range in six colours if you need more.
Is there any warranty on a clearance item?
Yes. Clearance items carry the same 12 month warranty as the rest of our range.
What can this button switch?
It is rated 3A at 125V AC or 1A at 250V AC, so it handles signal inputs and small loads directly. For a motor, pump or anything drawing more, have the button drive a relay. Any 230V mains wiring must be done by a licensed electrician.
What size hole and wire is it?
It fits a 12mm panel hole and comes with two 20AWG leads, about 12cm long, with stripped and tinned ends.
Which lead goes where?
It does not matter. The switch simply joins the two leads while pressed, so there is no polarity. On the red and black version the colours just help you keep track of your wiring.
Is it waterproof?
We do not give it a waterproof rating. The body seals well against the panel, but treat it as a dry or sheltered-use switch.

Why Buy from NZN

Useful parts, fair prices and someone local to help.

I'm Lukas, an engineering student and maker based in Te Awamutu. NZN grew out of a CNC build that dragged on for months because every missing cable, bolt or electronic part meant another overseas order. I started the shop so Kiwi makers can spend more time building and less time waiting for the next parcel.
