The PBS-33B is a 12mm panel-mount momentary push button with two solder terminals. It connects the two terminals only while you hold it down, so it suits reset buttons, triggers and microcontroller inputs. It comes in six colours and is sold individually: each quantity is one switch in the colour you choose.

Wiring & getting started

  1. Fit the switch

Drill a 12mm hole, push the switch through from the front and tighten the nut from behind.

  2. Connect a digital input

With the board powered off, solder one terminal to a digital input and the other to GND. The terminals are not polarised. For an Arduino input, enable INPUT_PULLUP.

  3. Check the response

With that pull-up wiring, the input reads HIGH when released and LOW while pressed. Add software debouncing if one press registers more than once.

Note: No current rating is marked on these switches, so use them for low-voltage signal circuits up to 12V DC, such as microcontroller inputs. To control a motor, lamp, pump or anything on mains, have the button drive a relay or transistor instead of switching the load directly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions buyers ask most.

What can this button switch?
Use it for low-voltage signal circuits up to 12V DC, such as an Arduino or ESP32 input. No current rating is marked on the switch, so do not switch a motor, lamp, pump or mains load directly. Use the button to drive a relay or transistor instead.
Does the button stay on after I press it?
No. It is momentary: the contacts close only while you hold the button down and open again when you release it.
Does quantity 1 mean one switch or a pack?
Quantity 1 is one switch in the selected colour. Enter the number of individual switches you need. The quantity discounts shown above apply automatically from 5 of one colour.
Does it come with wires attached?
No. This version has two solder terminals and includes a mounting nut. Add your own wiring.
Can I use it as an Arduino input?
Yes. Connect one terminal to a digital input and the other to GND, then enable INPUT_PULLUP. The input reads LOW when pressed and HIGH when released.

Why Buy from NZN

Useful parts, fair prices and someone local to help.

I'm Lukas, an engineering student and maker based in Te Awamutu. NZN grew out of a CNC build that dragged on for months because every missing cable, bolt or electronic part meant another overseas order. I started the shop so Kiwi makers can spend more time building and less time waiting for the next parcel.
