This is the small brass fitting that lets a 4mm tube go into a 1/8 inch BSP port and stay there. Push the tube in, a ring of stainless teeth inside the collet bites onto it, and an O-ring further down seals against the outside of the tube. To get it back out you press the blue collar down and pull. No tools, and you can do it as many times as you like, which is the whole point when you are still moving things around on a build. The thread end is a tapered BSPT male, so it pulls tight as it winds in. It is an ordinary pneumatic one touch fitting, so it is equally at home on a compressor line, a small air cylinder, or routing PTFE tube on a Bowden printer. Sold as singles, so buy the number your machine actually needs.

What's in the box

How to fit it
- Check the port
It needs to be 1/8 inch BSP female. Start the fitting by hand and make sure the thread picks up cleanly before you put a spanner near it.
- Seal the thread
Two or three wraps of PTFE tape on the male thread, wound the same way it screws in, then nip it up on the 14mm hex. Go easy if the port is plastic.
- Cut the tube square
Use a tube cutter or a sharp blade. A ragged or angled end will not seal against the O-ring and the joint will leak.
- Push it home
Push the tube in until it stops, then give it a tug to check the teeth have grabbed. To release, press the blue collar right down and pull the tube out.
Good to know: the pressure, vacuum and temperature figures above are the standard ratings for this style of push in fitting, not a certified figure for an individual part, so leave headroom on anything that matters. This one is 1/8 inch BSP and 4mm tube only - if your printer or manifold uses M6 or M10 you want a PC4-M6 or PC4-M10 instead, and 6mm tube needs a PC6 fitting. Thread tape and tube are not included.
