Add a controlled start delay to pumps, lighting, access systems and other automation circuits. The slim VENGIM VG521T begins timing when power reaches A1 and A2, then changes its SPDT output after the selected delay from 0.1 seconds to 10 days.

Wiring & getting started

  1. Isolate the circuit

    Disconnect and verify the supply before touching any terminal. Use a licensed electrical worker for fixed or mains wiring in New Zealand.

  2. Connect the timer supply

    Connect the control supply across A1 and A2. Timing starts when this supply is energised.

  3. Select the timed contact

    Terminal 15 is common. Use 15-18 for a normally open output that closes after the delay, or 15-16 for a normally closed output that opens after the delay.

  4. Set the delay

    Choose the range with the upper selector, then set 10-100% of that range with the lower dial. For example, 10 seconds at 30% gives about 3 seconds.

Note: The 5 A rating applies to resistive loads. Inductive loads such as contactor coils, motors and solenoids may require additional suppression or an appropriately rated external contactor.

What happens when power is applied?
The timing period starts when A1 and A2 are energised. After the selected delay, 15-18 closes and 15-16 opens.
Can it run from AC or DC?
Yes. This stocked VG521T variant accepts 12-240 V AC or DC. AC operation is specified for 50/60 Hz.
How is the delay set?
Choose the time range with the upper selector, then set 10-100% of that range with the lower dial. For example, 10 seconds at 30% gives about 3 seconds.
Can it switch a 5 A motor or solenoid directly?
The 5 A rating is for resistive loads. Inductive loads can create higher switching stress and may require suppression or an appropriately rated external contactor.
