The 608RS (also known as 608-2RS) is a single-row deep groove ball bearing fitted with rubber contact seals on both sides. Superior contamination resistance compared to metal-shielded variants — the go-to choice for skateboards, 3D printers, and any build where dust and moisture are a concern. Pre-greased and ready to use.

Common Questions

608RS vs 608Z — what's the difference?
The 608RS uses rubber contact seals on both sides — better at keeping out dust, dirt, and moisture, making it ideal for skateboards and outdoor use. The 608Z uses metal shields instead — lower friction at higher speeds, but less effective against fine contamination. For most skateboard and general-purpose applications, the 608RS is the more practical choice.
What does C3 internal clearance mean?
C3 means slightly more internal radial play than the standard CN clearance. This compensates for thermal expansion during sustained use and is the preferred spec for most skate and general-purpose applications.
Can I clean and re-grease the bearing?
Yes — the rubber seals are removable with a thin pick or blade. Once removed, you can flush out the old grease with solvent, let it dry, then repack with your preferred bearing grease before reinstalling the seals.

Please note: 52100 steel construction is not suitable for wet or highly corrosive environments — consider a stainless steel variant for those applications. Please allow ±1–3mm measurement tolerance due to manual measurement.
