Fully-insulated red ring terminals — crimp one onto your wire, then slide the 4mm (M4) ring over a stud, screw or terminal post and bolt it down for a secure, permanent connection that won't pull off. The tough red PVC sleeve fully covers the crimp barrel, and the tin-plated ring gives a low-resistance, corrosion-resistant contact. The red colour codes it for 0.5–1.5 mm² / 22–16 AWG wire. Perfect for battery terminals, earth/ground points and 12V wiring — more colours/stud sizes coming soon.

Great for
How to crimp them
- Strip the wire
Strip roughly 5–6mm of insulation to expose clean, twisted strands.
- Insert into the barrel
Slide the bare wire fully into the connector's metal barrel, up to the insulation sleeve.
- Crimp
Squeeze the insulated barrel with a crimping tool until firm, then tug the wire gently to confirm it's locked in.
- Bolt it down
Slip the 4mm ring over your M4 stud, screw or post and tighten the nut or screw for a solid, permanent connection.
Common questions
What size stud or screw does it fit?
The ring has a 4.0 mm hole, so it slides onto an M4 stud, bolt or screw (or anything up to ~4mm shank). Match the ring hole to the post you're bolting to.
Which colour/size do I choose?
Ring terminals are colour-coded by wire gauge: Red 22–16 AWG (0.5–1.5 mm²), Blue 16–14 AWG, Yellow 12–10 AWG. This listing is the Red size with a 4mm (M4) ring. More colours and stud sizes are coming soon.
Do I need a special tool?
A basic insulated-terminal crimping tool gives the strongest, tidiest result. Combination pliers can work in a pinch, but a proper crimper is far more reliable for a connection that won't pull loose.
Why is there a 10-piece minimum?
These are small, low-cost parts, so we sell them in a minimum of 10 to keep per-connector pricing low and shipping worthwhile. Mix the quantity to suit your job — the price per connector drops automatically as you pass 25, 50 and 100 pieces.
Are they fully insulated?
Yes. The red PVC sleeve covers the entire barrel and crimp, so once crimped there's no exposed metal on the wire side — safer against shorts and vibration in automotive and marine wiring.
Good to know: match the connector colour to your wire gauge and the ring hole to your stud size for the best fit. Stocked and dispatched fast from our Te Awamutu base — overseas prices, without the overseas wait.
