Add small points of light to models, dioramas and compact panels with these 3mm flat-top water-clear LEDs. Each LED comes pre-wired with approximately 200mm leads and a built-in current-limiting resistor for 3-12V DC. Choose a steady colour, UV or an automatic RGB colour-changing effect, then order the quantity you need. For a larger, brighter spot, the same range comes as a 5mm flat-top pre-wired LED.

Wiring & getting started

Check your supply
Use a DC supply within 3-12V. Switch it off before connecting the wires. Do not connect one LED directly to 24V; use a DC step-down converter to bring a 24V system within range first.
Connect the leads
Connect red to positive (+) and black to negative (-). Insulate exposed connections to prevent shorts. No separate resistor is needed. Several LEDs can run in parallel from the same supply.
Power on and check the light
Steady colours stay lit, while RGB Slow and RGB Fast change colour on their own. Brightness rises with voltage: red, yellow and orange light well from about 3V; blue, green, white, pink, UV and the RGB options need around 5V or more to look bright. From an Arduino, a 5V output pin can drive one LED directly.

How many LEDs do I receive?

The price is for one pre-wired LED. Select a colour or effect and enter the quantity you need. Volume discounts apply automatically when you order enough of the same colour.

Do I need an extra resistor?

No extra resistor is needed when one complete pre-wired LED is connected to a 3-12V DC supply. Each assembly includes a series resistor. Connect the red lead to positive and the black lead to negative.

Can I run one from an Arduino or ESP32?

Yes. A 5V output pin can drive one LED directly, because the built-in resistor keeps the current low at 5V. On a 3.3V pin, red, yellow and orange light well; blue, green, white, pink, UV and RGB are dim, so switch a 5-12V supply with a transistor for those.

Can I connect these directly to 24V?

No. Use a suitable DC converter to reduce a 24V supply to within the 3-12V operating range before connecting these LEDs.

What is the difference between RGB Slow and RGB Fast?

Both change colour automatically with no external controller. RGB Slow cycles gently, while RGB Fast jumps quickly between colours.

What is the UV option good for?

It gives a violet UV glow that makes fluorescent paint, fabrics and highlighters stand out in displays and models. It is a decorative indicator LED, not a curing or inspection light.
