The SC7301 is a compact 3-pin SPDT micro limit switch fitted with a lever arm. Its common, normally-open and normally-closed contacts let you choose a circuit that closes or opens when the lever is pressed. Use it for position sensing and controller endstop inputs after checking the mounting fit and input requirements.

Wiring & getting started

  1. Identify the three terminals

    The pins are common (C), normally-open (NO) and normally-closed (NC). Do not assume the centre terminal is common. With the switch disconnected, use a multimeter to identify COM: it is the terminal shared by the pair that conducts at rest and the different pair that conducts when pressed. The product pinout shows 1 = COM, 2 = NC and 3 = NO; verify continuity before connecting.

  2. Choose NO or NC

    Wire C + NO for a circuit that closes (turns on) when the lever is pressed, or C + NC for one that opens (turns off) when pressed. For endstops, match the controller's input wiring and logic, then verify the triggered state by hand before machine movement.

  3. Mount the switch

    Fix it through the two mounting holes so the lever arm meets your moving part right at the travel limit. Leave a little over-travel so the switch fully actuates without bottoming out.

  4. Test the click

    Actuate the lever by hand - you should feel a firm snap and hear a distinct click as the contacts change over. Confirm the switching with a multimeter before wiring it into your machine.

Note: The AC body marking is not a DC switching rating. For mains use, suitable insulation, an enclosure and competent electrical design are required. Verify the exact load suitability before use.

When should I choose the lever version?
Choose the lever version when the moving part needs to contact an arm rather than press directly on the switch plunger. Check the mounting dimensions and allow clearance for the lever.
What do the three pins do?
COM connects to NC with the lever released and to NO when pressed. The product pinout identifies 1 as COM, 2 as NC and 3 as NO. Confirm the functions with a continuity test before wiring; do not assume the centre terminal is common.
Can I use it as a 3D printer or CNC endstop?
It can provide a contact input where the controller accepts a mechanical switch. Follow the controller's wiring and input logic, check the mounting fit, and verify the triggered state by hand before allowing machine movement.
How much can it switch?
The numbered-side body photo shows 5A at 125/250VAC. This AC marking does not establish a DC load rating. Verify load suitability and use appropriate insulation and enclosure for mains installations.
