Type A eccentric spacer for adjustable V-slot wheels, with a 5mm bore, an 8mm hex and a 7mm boss that sits in the carriage plate hole. The bore is slightly off-centre, so turning the hex with an 8mm spanner moves the wheel in or out against the extrusion and takes the wobble out of the carriage. Sold singly.

What's in the box
Sold singly. Screw, wheel and nut are not included.
Great for
Swap out a missing or rounded eccentric spacer on a V-slot carriage with a 7mm plate hole.
Turn a fixed wheel position into an adjustable one on a DIY gantry, CNC or laser frame.
Fit new spacers alongside fresh 625ZZ POM V-slot wheels when you rebuild a carriage.
Fitting & getting started
- Seat the boss
Push the 7mm boss into the carriage plate hole, with the hex on the wheel side.
- Assemble the wheel
Pass an M5 screw through the wheel, the spacer and the plate, and fit the nut on the far side. Snug it so the hex can still turn.
- Set the preload
Turn the hex with an 8mm spanner until the wheel just grips the extrusion. The wheel should still turn by hand with light drag and the carriage should not rock.
- Lock it
Hold the hex still, tighten the nut, then recheck the wheel. Our V-slot wheel adjustment guide covers the whole carriage.
Note: If your old spacer takes a 10mm spanner or is noticeably longer than 8.5mm, it is a larger type and this one will not swap straight in.
