Blower vs axial fan — what's the difference?
A blower (radial) fan draws air in through one face and expels it from the side, creating a narrow, high-velocity airflow stream. This is ideal for 3D printer part cooling ducts where you need to direct air precisely at the print. An axial fan moves higher volumes of air but in a wide, diffuse pattern — better suited for hotend or enclosure cooling.

Common Questions

Will this connect directly to my 3D printer board?
The fan uses a standard 2-pin XH2.54 connector. Most 3D printer control boards (SKR, BTT Octopus, Creality boards, etc.) have a dedicated part cooling fan port that matches this connector type. If your board uses a different connector, a simple adapter or re-pin is required.
Why choose dual ball bearings over sleeve bearings?
Sleeve bearing fans are cheaper but degrade faster — especially in high-temperature or non-horizontal mounting orientations. Dual ball bearings maintain consistent performance across all mounting angles and last significantly longer, making them the preferred choice for 3D printers where the fan may run continuously for thousands of hours.
Can I run this at lower voltage for reduced speed/noise?
Yes — most 3D printer boards control part cooling fans via PWM, allowing you to set fan speed as a percentage in your slicer or firmware. The fan will start reliably from around 40–50% duty cycle. Running at lower PWM also reduces noise further below the already-quiet 25.5 dBA rating.
